Bear Bite is an iOS app that helps you track meals by taking photos of your food. Our AI recognizes what you eat and estimates calories and macros. We also offer social features like friends, leaderboards, and streaks to keep you motivated.

● Information We Collect

Food Photos

→Photos you take are sent to OpenAI API for food recognition
→Used to identify food items and estimate nutritional content
✓Photos are not stored on our servers after processing

Location Data

→Used only for the "Find Restaurants" feature
→Coordinates sent to OpenAI to search for nearby healthy places
✓Location is never tracked in the background

Profile & Progress (Firebase)

→Display name, streak, and progress data
→Synced to enable social features: friends, leaderboards, challenges
✓Anonymous authentication — no email or password required

HealthKit Data

✓Steps, active calories, weight, and height (read-only)
✓Used to personalize nutrition advice based on your activity
✓This data stays on your device and is never sent to servers

Analytics & Crash Reports

Subscription Data (via Adapty)
